Buying at Auction

Buying at auction from Bath Auctioneers is a simple way to purchase a wide, interesting range of goods at great prices.

Bidding can be done in person, online or by phone. Please see our Bid Online section for simple instructions. 

You will find some simple conditions for buying below. For full details, please see the "Buyers Terms" and "Buyers Conditions" section in our Terms and Conditions.

New Buyer Registration:

If you have not previously bought at Bath Auctioneers, you will need to register at the auction room before the sale.

For this, the following details are required:

Contact Details:

Full name, postal address, phone number (landline & mobile) and email address

2 forms of ID:

Passport, Driving License and National ID Cards accepted

Proof of Address:

Utility Bills or Bank Statements accepted within the last 3 months

Note:

If you are buying online via our catalogue or via the-saleroom.com, you will be taken through the online registration steps before bidding.

Payment:

Payment can be made by cash (up to € 10,000) or electronic transfer

Payment is due on the day of the sale. If payment is not made promptly, purchases may be re-offered and you will be liable to pay any difference between the original sale price you bid to and the eventual sale price.

Buyers Premium:

Buyers Premium is 20% + VAT of the Hammer Price.
